Winged, book one, had me hooked quickly and I was blown away by the story being told. It’s creative, fun, emotional and sexy. The dialogue is fantastic, witty and flows well. I couldn’t wait to read more.
Uprising, book two, jumped right back into the world and the characters’ emotions. It was a little darker than Winged and some seriously surprising and bad sh*t happens in this story and the author makes you feel it - feel for the characters, feel their pain.
Lost, book three, was darker than Uprising, but in a different way than Uprising was darker than Winged. Joanne, the heroine is dealing with personal demons and the demons are winning. In all three books, the author did a great job at making me feel the characters’ emotions. Whether it was happiness, anger, lust, or despair - I felt it.
Simply put, the Winged series is a fantastic read. Pruitt delivers the creativity, the emotion, the action and even some hot sex.

Review
Uprising was darker than Winged. It had some major upsets and surprises. Pruitt, the author, continues to deliver when it comes to making the reader feel the physical and emotional pain of the characters. I found myself feeling for Raphael's and Joanne's relationship strain even when I wasn't reading.
I'm disappointed in something that, by the end of the book, I knew what was coming in the third book. I really didn't want it to happen but I can't tell you without a spoiler. My hope is the author will MAKE me want it to happen in the third book. I also found myself connecting with and caring about some of the secondary characters more than I expected to. You should definitely read Winged and then read Uprising!

Review
Lost was darker in a different way than Uprising was but I'm not saying that's a bad thing. The author, Pruitt, even added a warning to the beginning of the book. Pruitt has a great writing voice and the dialogue flows and never sounds stilted or forced. I actually found myself teary-eye a few times while reading this due to her skill at making me feel the characters' emotions.
I knew something was coming in this story that I really didn't want and I was annoyed about it. However! Pruitt did a great job at redeeming the character so that I found myself enjoying the thing I was annoyed about. Haha. I can't explain without spoilers. If you read it, you'll probably know what I'm talking about. And you damn sure should read it. Another great story.
