Q: Do you have a favorite quote or line from WAKING THE BEAST? If so, please share.

A: There’s a scene where my hero tries to backpedal after losing control, telling my heroine “We need to talk.” Through his locked bedroom door, she says “I want to do much more than merely talk to you. If you don’t open the door, I will take off all my clothing again.”

Q: Name one thing the hero and heroine of WAKING THE BEAST can’t live without.

A: My heroine, Melina, can’t live without some sense of excitement, adventure or magic in her life. When the story begins she seems doomed to a mundane life, but luckily her circumstances change. My hero, Rowland, starts out very preoccupied with being noble and correct. Melina has to work very hard to break through lots of barriers with him, not just his beastly curse. Luckily she’s very tenacious.

Q: Are there any specific words or phrases you aren't comfortable using in your stories (especially in sex scenes)? Word or phrase that makes you say “ick”?

A: C**t. It’s just such a charged, negative word to me.

Q: Convince readers to buy WAKING THE BEAST in 25 words or less.

A: It’s a fairy tale retelling of “Beauty and the Beast” with a big, sexy twist.

Q: What’s one of your biggest fears?

A: My dogs dying. They’re getting old so I try to make every day count.

A: Good ones can be hot, for sure. I don’t have any.

Q: Wine, Beer or Liquor?

A: I love whisky and bourbon. But I get crazy hangover headaches, so I don’t drink much.

Q: Dogs, cats or other?

A: I love all animals except cockroaches! Dogs, cats, birds and rabbits are my favorites.

Q: Kindle, Nook, Paper? Other?

A: I am reading more books on my phone now, using the Kindle app. I like the convenience. But I still like paper the best.

Review
Perfect Misfits is a cute fantasy romance with several interesting characters. Rogue, a gargdog, was probably my favorite character. I love it when authors write animals into their stories and Rogue made me smile. Tempest, the heroine, learns that maybe being a misfit isn't so bad and Ryder, the hero, learns a little something about love. There were a few awkward phrases and passive sentences that could have knocked my socks off it changed up a little but it was fun enough to get over that. Perfect Misfits is my first gargoyle romance and I'll definitely be looking for more. Perfect Misfits has pixies, gargoyles, a gargdog, trolls, a villain and a little sex, all set in a world that took a lot of imagination to create. Definitely worth reading.

About the Author:

I have always believed in fairy tales and when I got tired of the old ones I made up my own. Each story would have a hero and heroine, but they were anything but typical.

I devoured my first romance novel when I was a teenager and soon discovered I couldn’t read them fast enough. Years later I stumbled across my first paranormal romance…an injustice would be done if I tried to explain my joy when I found this genre of romance. Now writing any type of love story is my passion, whether it’s paranormal, fantasy, historical or contemporary–for me it’s all about LOVE and a happy-ever-after.

I am truly blessed. My husband is my hero in every story. My family and my precious animals are my inspiration. We live on a small acreage in Didsbury, Alberta, with Dozer, Daisy, Mandarin and Peppers.

Review

I loved the idea for Deer in the Headlights. Bored Greek gods using humans as players in a game/bet. Fun right? And it was fun. I enjoyed the personalities of the gods and how they really didn't act all that god-like. There were some pretty funny phrases uttered by them. Loved Aphrodite's dog too. Neat idea. :-)

Review

The Last Pyr of Eden was a well written and enjoyable fantasy romance. Reading about the elementals and their plight was entertaining. The world, the author created, was nifty and the hero and heroine were interesting characters, but I think my favorite character and the one I'd like to read more about is the "guardian", but I won't go into that because I don't want spoilers in this review. I don't consider this story to be "erotic" but there are a couple of steamy sex scenes and I'd definitely consider reading another story in this series.
