Fun Interview with Denysé Bridger, author of Restless Assignation

Today, an interview with Denysé Bridger, author of Restless Assignation, an erotic paranormal romance with a Halloween theme.

This story has not released yet. Be sure to make yourself a "buy later" note.

About Author and Author's Upcoming Release

Q: Do you have a favorite quote or line from this book? If so, please share.
A: Reports of shrieking, ghostly sightings and blood-spattered walls abounded until the place closed.

Q: Who is your favorite main character from this book? Why?
A: I like both the heroine and the hero in this one because they both bring really interesting perspectives to the story. She’s somewhat naïve, but gutsy and curious. Rick is worldly, and cynical in many ways, but his softer side comes out with Cinthyia.

Q: Who is your favorite secondary character? Why?
A: There is only one secondary character, and she’s the “villain” of the piece, she’s cold and deadly, but almost pathetically broken in some ways.

Q: What was the hardest part of writing this book?
A: Keeping the pacing right, and making it fun as well as sexy – there are a ton of Halloween trappings in place to make the story work, too – so keeping it exciting and not overdoing the atmosphere was a balancing act in some ways.

Q: What question do you wish that someone would ask about your book?
A: Since it’s a story set at Halloween, is there a paranormal angle to it?

Q: Convince readers to buy your book in 25 words or less.
A: Reckless Assignation is a fantasy - an exciting and passionate lover lures his lady to a dangerous place, and when she arrives, it’s an elaborate seduction.

On Writing and Writing Erotica

Q: Why did you choose to write in this genre/subgenre?
A: I like to experiment, and I write in so many genres, I like to not stay in one consistently because if it’s boring for me it will be boring for anyone who reads it.

Q: Do you outline or do you start with a basic idea and let it flow? (plotter or pantser)
A: I’ve discovered that while I can do both, I am a much more efficient writer if I outline. More and more I see the distinct advantage of knowing how a story is to flow and evolve, so definitely prefer that to just writing blind.

Q: Do your family and friends know what you write? If so, what do they think about it?
A: My family has always known what I write, and while they support it totally, they read the non-erotic titles, but not the erotic ones.

Q: In erotica/erotic romance, the sex is depicted graphically. Are there any specific words or phrases you aren't comfortable using in your stories? Word or phrase that makes you say “ick”?
A: There used to be, but not so much now – now I find it’s more often the way certain phrases are used, or in what context. ANYTHING can be shudder-worthy if it’s badly used. Things that feel forced and out of character have an ick factor, big time.

Q: What is your favorite part of writing erotica/erotic romance?
A: The best part of this genre is the freedom it allows every author. You can take your imagination and love scenes to whatever level you’re comfortable with and works for your story/characters.

Q: How long ago was your first story accepted by a publisher and did you pee your pants? J
A: I won my first contract back in 2004 as part of a writing contest. I think I was too stunned to do more than just stare.... J

Q: What are your favorite and least favorite parts of the publishing process?
A: Favorite part is editing, believe it or not. I love the editing process, making a good story better with the right guidance and insight from a good editor. Least favorite is trying to select excerpts and write blurbs that will entice people, I always find that hard than it should be.

Fun Stuff

Q: Tattoos. Hot or not? And do you have any?
A: Depends, really. Some are beautiful, but too much ink is unattractive to me. I have none, though I have thought about it.

Q: Wine, Beer or Liquor?
A: Wine, Italian white.

Q: Dogs, cats or other?
A: Dogs, huskies, since they’re the closest to wolves, and I adore wolves.

Q: Kindle, Nook, Paper? Other?
A: Paper and Kobo – the Canadian Kindle.

Q: Vibrators, nipple clamps or butt plugs? J
A: Vibrators.

Q: Why did the chicken cross the road?
A: To chat up the chick who’d caught his eye, of course.

Q: What is the meaning of life?
A: Finding happiness and peace in each day and what it offers you.

Final thoughts:

Word of advice: Enjoy every day, smile often, and don’t waste your love on what might have been, or what might be – live in the here and now as much as possible – and make it the best it can be. That’s the only way I know how to stay sane, be at peace, and be someone people genuinely care about. At the end of the day, all we leave behind is the love we’ve given and the hearts we’ve touched, the rest is transient.

Back cover blurb: A haunted and abandoned hotel on Halloween is the setting for a very private party between two lovers, one of them a world-class, sophisticated intelligence operative who’s trying to teach his young and innocent lady that curiosity can sometimes take you places you’d be better not to go. Amid elaborate trappings meant to scare and entice, Rick’s seduction takes some unexpected but wickedly wonderful twists. But, Rick also has a lesson to learn, when his past collides with his present, and almost destroys everything he cherishes most. Coming Soon from Ellora’s Cave

Fun interview with Francesca Hawley, author of Leader of the Pack

Today... Fun interview with Francesca Hawley, author of Leader of the Pack, a paranormal/shifter, M/F erotic romance.

About Author and Author's Most Recent Release

Q: Do you have a favorite quote or line from this book? If so, please share.
A:  "Helt jävla otroligt" - which is Swedish for "Fucking unbelievable." It's Per's assessment of sex between them and Yohana finally agrees with him.

Q: Who is your favorite main character from this book? Why?
A: I love my heroine, Yohana. She's strong and cares about her shifter pack so much she's willing to make huge sacrifices for them.

Q: Who is your favorite secondary character? Why?
A:  Serena Goldwolf. She's a continuity character from Alpha vs. Alpha and she's a good matchmaker and a good friend.

Q: What was the hardest part of writing this book?
A: Finishing it. I got about half way done with it, then it sat on my computer for about a year. I got hung up on how to finish the story. This year, the ending hit me and I was able to get it written quickly and I like the flow of the story.

Q: What question do you wish that someone would ask about your book?
A: What's the appeal of Swedish guys? And my response is - who can resist all that blond, blue eyed hotness? Definitely, not me.

Q: Convince readers to buy your book in 25 words or less.
A: Yohana Whitewolf uses a specialized matchmaking service for shapeshifters. Dr. Per Goldwolf fits her needs and much to her dismay, her wants, as well.

On Writing and Writing Erotica

Q: Why did you choose to write in this genre/subgenre?
A: I love shapeshifters and the fated mates setup. It's fun to have two people meet and be stuck to one another whether they want to be or not. As an author, it's my job to make sure the reader enjoys the journey of them working out their differences to be together.

Q: Do you outline or do you start with a basic idea and let it flow? (plotter or pantser)
A: I'm a pantser - who is slightly hybrid. I know how I want to start and how the story should end. I may also know a few select plot points along the way, but then I write freeform and just let me characters show me what they want me to write about them.

Q: Do your family and friends know what you write? If so, what do they think about it?
A: My mother was really supportive of my writing as long as I had a practical way to earn a living until my writing took off. She always believed in me and I really appreciate that. My sister knows I write and she's very happy for me. Other friends also know I write. Some have read my stories and really enjoy them. Others aren't so interested in the story, but they are pleased that I am doing something I love.

Q: In erotica/erotic romance, the sex is depicted graphically. Are there any specific words or phrases you aren't comfortable using in your stories? Word or phrase that makes you say “ick”?
A: I use most of the words available to me. I have used "cunt" at times - as a descriptive part of the female anatomy. I consciously used it as first as a way to "take back the power" of the word. There are some of my readers that have told me they like my stories but wished I didn't use that word.

Q: What is your favorite part of writing erotica/erotic romance?
A: I really love the fact that I can describe the entirety of the relationship. Many times, lovemaking or just plain hot sex creates conflict in a relationship. The fact that I don't have to pretend that sex happens is very freeing to me. I don't have to

Q: How long ago was your first story accepted by a publisher and did you pee your pants? J
A: Alpha vs. Alpha was originally published by Draumr Publishing back in 2005. I was very excited and what that did for me was that it gave me the confidence to keep writing. When I sold Protect and Defend to Ellora's Cave, I think I screamed but I didn't pee my pants.

Q: What are your favorite and least favorite parts of the publishing process?
A: The "hurry up and wait" parts. Once you submit something and then the long wait to find out if your editor likes a story well enough to contract it. That's the part I don't like. I get very antsy and start climbing the walls.

Fun Stuff

Q: Tattoos. Hot or not? And do you have any?
A: I used to think they were gross, but now I really like them. I think they're hot. But no, I don't have any.

Q: Wine, Beer or Liquor?
A: Liquor - I like the sweet fruity ice drinks like Sex on the Beach and that takes some hard booze.
Q: Dogs, cats or other?

A: All of the above. I love animals - all of them. I have two cats right now, but growing up my younger brother was a dachshund.

Q: Kindle, Nook, Paper? Other?
A: Nook and iPad.

Q: Vibrators, nipple clamps or butt plugs? J
A: Again - all of the above. At the same time. Evil laugh. Mwa ha ha!

Q: Why did the chicken cross the road?
A: To avoid the asshole walking in his direction.

Q: What is the meaning of life?
A: 42

Final thoughts:
One of my favorite movie lines is from Auntie Mame (1955) starring Rosalind Russell. "Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death." I loved Mame Dennis. She had a joy in life that I really strive to emulate. I want to live life to the fullest and never starve at that banquet.

Back cover blurb:

Leader of the Pack

Surgeon Dr. Per Goldwolf needs a mate to make partner in a prestigious practice. Predator-Match.com—a matchmaking service for shapeshifters—not only finds him a mate, they match him with his True Mate. Yohana’s long legs and fair flesh make him lick his lips and her scent makes him rock-hard.

New packleader Yohana Whitewolf’s life goal is to follow in her sire’s pawprints and lead her pack. Leadership demands sacrifices. To calm her people, Yohana needs a mate. But finding an Alpha male who won’t take over is a tall order. Yohana doesn’t want the complication of a True Mate, but Per is a sexy, intelligent Alpha male and she wants to shred his clothes every time she touches him.

Everything should be perfect—except she’s a packleader, and the Whitewolf pack is nervous.

Fun Interview with Avril Ashton Author of Sinner, Savior

Today... Interview with Avril Ashton, author of Sinner, Savior, an erotic m/m story.

About Author and Author's Most Recent Release

Q: Do you have a favorite quote or line from this book? If so, please share.
A: Oh man. So much. I have so many favorites, but I’ll give you this one. This is from Pablo’s POV when he thinks something bad has happened to Dev. ‘His knees hit the floor and his vision blurred. For a second. Only for a second did he allow his hard shell to show its cracks. The wall to come down. The truth to show.
Q: Who is your favorite main character from this book? Why?
A: I loved Pablo, but getting inside his head was hard emotionally. He’s so broken and hurt, and he’s lashing out. I liked the journey it took, watching him slowly succumb to his feelings for Dev.
Q: Who is your favorite secondary character? Why?
A: Well, there’s a new character I introduced named Tommy. He’s been through so stuff and is damaged (like my men often are), maybe even beyond repair.
Q: What was the hardest part of writing this book?
A: The hardest part was the emotional stuff. Crying with and for those characters.
Q: What question do you wish that someone would ask about your book?
A: Actually, this leaves me with a blank. I think it’s all been asked.
Q: Convince readers to buy your book in 25 words or less.
A: Crap! I’m never good at these things. Here goes: Hot, sexy and damaged menz. Filthy sex and happy ever after. Buy it already.

On Writing and Writing Erotica

Q: Why did you choose to write in this genre/subgenre?
A: Because I like reading about sex and love. I’m a voyeur. I like to watch, maybe even participate.
Q: Do you outline or do you start with a basic idea and let it flow? (plotter or pantser)
A: Just a basic idea and I let whatever is to happen, happen.
Q: Do your family and friends know what you write? If so, what do they think about it?
A: They do. They don’t care.
Q: In erotica/erotic romance, the sex is depicted graphically. Are there any specific words or phrases you aren't comfortable using in your stories? Word or phrase that makes you say “ick”?
A: Well, the flowery/purple ones are really what make me go “eww”. I like all of the dirty words. I happen to have a filthy mind and mouth. Give me all of it.
Q: What is your favorite part of writing erotica/erotic romance?
A: LOL The romance, believe it or not.
Q: How long ago was your first story accepted by a publisher and did you pee your pants? J
A: 2009 and nah, I went to sleep.
Q: What are your favorite and least favorite parts of the publishing process?

A: Hmmm…love me a tatted up man. Too hot! I’ve got a couple, nothing major though.
Q: Wine, Beer or Liquor?
A: Beer.
Q: Dogs, cats or other?
A: None.
Q: Kindle, Nook, Paper? Other?
A: Kindle app on my laptop.
Q: Vibrators, nipple clamps or butt plugs? J
A: All?
Q: Why did the chicken cross the road?
A: Who the hell knows? Those things are weird.
Q: What is the meaning of life?
A: Err, you tell me. LOL

Back cover blurb: Sinner or Savior? Each man has a choice to make. It should be simple. It never is.
Gun runner Pablo Castillo has cemented his reputation in the gun trade as callous and cold-hearted. Personal feelings no longer matter, not with everyone out to make him a sacrifice on their way to the top. He remains untouchable, until a meeting with a rival gang leader and a new deal brings him face-to-face with temptation.
Dev is the right hand to a sadistic bastard out for blood and glory. He hides his true feelings of distaste for his boss, not the least of his many secrets. He could’ve sworn those secrets were safe, but after meeting Pablo he’s not so sure. The two men come together in a heated affair neither can deny, battling themselves, each other and a deadly enemy bent on spilling blood. Pablo and Dev will have to stick together or walk away from a love neither man expected to find. The choice should be simple. It never is.

Fun Interview with A.M. Griffin for Dangerously Mine

Today I interviewed A.M. Griffin, author of Dangerously Mine, an erotic sci-fi romance.

About Author and Author's Most Recent Release

Q: Do you have a favorite quote or line from Dangerously Mine? If so, please share.
A: My favorite quote is from one of the fighting scenes. Eva is surrounded by aliens who want to cause her bodily harm. Eva is a trained martial artist and doesn’t take being captured by aliens and sold into slavery lying down.

“If he promised you that this would be easy, he lied.”

I think this quote tells any reader all about Eva. She’s kicking ass first and answering questions later!

Q: Who is your favorite main character from Dangerously Mine? Why?
A: I love Eva. She is kind-of snarky, she’s got a smart mouth and she’s not helpless. She never once does she give up on life, even though her world has been turned upside down. She is a fighter and continues to push forward through all things (good or bad) that come her way. I love Eva so much that she makes an appearance in my next four books in this series.

Q: Who is your favorite secondary character? Why?
A: Taio, my hero. I love him. Even though he is strong willed, he is still able to compromise. He understands Eva and her needs and knows that in order to keep her he has to be able to work with her. He’s a hero with flaws which I find makes for the best type of hero.

Q: What was the hardest part of writing Dangerously Mine?
A: Since this is my debut, everything was hard! Dangerously Mine helped me find my voice and writing style. The editing process taught me a lot and through that I learned how to write, I mean really write. Although Dangerously Mine is a mix of my old and my new writing style, I feel it will give the reader an opportunity to follow me as I grow and finish out my series.

Q: What question do you wish that someone would ask about Dangerously Mine?
A: Are there follow-up books planned. The answer is yes! I have the second book completed and I’m currently working on 3 more simultaneously.

Q: Convince readers to buy Dangerously Mine in 25 words or less.
A: Dangerously Mine is a wonderful read if you are looking for a sci-fi erotic romance with memorable characters that you can grow with.

On Writing and Writing Erotica

Q: Why did you choose to write the Futuristic/Sci-Fi subgenre?

A: I am an avid sci-fi reader, writer and watcher. I love everything sci-fi. My favorite TV series is Star Trek: The Next Generation. I’ve seen all the episodes a million times, but I’ll watch them like I don’t know how it will end.

I also have a thing for Captain Picard.

Q: Do you outline or do you start with a basic idea and let it flow? (plotter or pantser)
A: I’m a complete pantser although I’ve toyed with loose outlines which are there to keep me on track. Like, ‘Eva gets mad at Taio.’ I have no idea how this will happen or why, I just know it WILL happen.

Q: Do your family and friends know what you write? If so, what do they think about it?
A: My family knows. I’m lucky that they are very open-minded and thrilled for me. My mother is actually my biggest supporter. I think she skips over all the sex scenes, which works for me. Ha ha ha. My little sister introduces me to all her co-workers and acquaintances as “this is my sister and she writes nasty stories.”

Q: In erotica/erotic romance, the sex is depicted graphically. Are there any specific words or phrases you aren't comfortable using in your stories? Word or phrase that makes you say “ick”?
A: I had a hard time writing the word ‘pussy’ for some odd reason. In my first submission I called it ‘love box’ and ‘sex’ throughout the manuscript. My editor wrote a nice short note that simply said, ‘find another word, not sexy at all.”

Q: What is your favorite part of writing erotica/erotic romance?
A: I love having my characters navigate through the process of being in love, understanding what that means and also working to better themselves in order to make their love stronger.

Q: How long ago was your first story accepted by a publisher and did you pee your pants? J
A: My editor sent me an acceptance email late December 2011. I didn’t pee my pants, but I did run around the house screaming for days afterward.

Q: What are your favorite and least favorite parts of the publishing process?
A: I hate waiting for edits. I’m very impatient. Since I’m fairly new this is my main hang-up right now. I’m pretty sure I’ll have other bigger gripes this time next year.

Fun Stuff

Q: Tattoos. Hot or not? And do you have any?
A: No tattoos. I’m afraid of pain. I’m also a wimp. Plus, what if I change my mind about the permanent design that I got scrawled across my neck in a couple of years from now? Hmm?

Q: Wine, Beer or Liquor?
A: Ohh! Wine – I love Moscato. I have to mention that I am a cheap date, 2 glasses and it’s night-night time.

Q: Dogs, cats or other?
A: I have 2 dogs. One very old Beagle (10 yrs). She’s a spoiled bitch. I should correct that to say spoiled, fat-lazy bitch. And another who is 3X the beagle’s size and 3X as wimpy.

Q: Kindle, Nook, Paper? Other?
A: Kindle! I can't live without it! I use it to read all my books, store all the books on my TBR list (I have about 50 right now) and I also use it to edit my WIP’s. It’s a great overall tool.

Q: Vibrators, nipple clamps or butt plugs? J
A: (LOL) vibrators. The pain thing remember.

Q: Why did the chicken cross the road?
A: Because there was a really hot rooster on the other side. But she did look both ways and when she got there she played hard-to-get.

Q: What is the meaning of life?
A: To live!

Final thoughts:
Never give up on your dreams.

Back cover blurb:

After aliens invade and conquer Earth, Eva is transported to a distant slave trading planet. Escape and freedom are her only priority, but none of her martial arts training prepared her for what she faces. She finds herself enslaved to the warrior King Taio. Eva’s drawn to this sexy alien male who ignites her heart and body.

Taio is disgusted with the idea of owning a slave—until now. From the moment he sees her, he knows Eva is his for the taking. Torn between lust and duty, Taio knows nothing will stop him from protecting his little warrior.

Typo of the Day

I don't know about you, but whether I'm writing a novel, a text message, or business email, I tend to make some funny typos. I've decided to keep track of the ones made in my WIP (work in progress) as I write and share them with you for laughs.

Today's typo:
He inhaled her nipple...

I caught this one as soon as I finished typing "nipple", started cracking up and completely forgot what I'd intended to say.

Fun Interview with Lucy Felthouse Author of A Taste of London

Today, I interviewed Lucy Felthouse, author of A Taste of London, an erotic contemporary story.
A Taste of London
About Author and Author's Most Recent Release

Q: Do you have a favorite quote or line from A Taste of London? If so, please share.
A: “Well, all of the above, naturally. But, come on, tell me the thought of getting a shag on this trip hasn’t entered your head? You’ve not gone gay on me, have you?”

Q: Who is your favorite main character from A Taste of London? Why?
A: Ryan Stonebridge, because this book (and the other in the series, yet to be written) are his journey, and I enjoy writing him. He's fun, sexy and adventurous. If I met him, I'd definitely fancy him ;)

Q: Who is your favorite secondary character? Why?
A: Ah, that would be Rose, one of Ryan's conquests. She's an absolutely terrible Catholic girl who has a real sense of adventure and is very naughty.

Q: What was the hardest part of writing this book?
A: Nothing – I loved writing it from start to finish. The tough bit will be continuing the series now and making sure there are no continuity errors.

Q: What question do you wish that someone would ask about your book?
A: Where do I buy it?

Q: Convince readers to buy your book in 25 words or less.
A: Although it's written with male fantasies in mind, A Taste of London will appeal to anyone who enjoys fun, adventurous erotica.

On Writing and Writing Erotica

Q: Why did you choose to write in this genre/subgenre?
A: I wanted to write for Ellora's Cave, and as I saw they'd launched a new range aimed at men, I decided to give it a go. The minimum word count was seven thousand words, and at first I worried about hitting it, but  A Taste of London ended up carrying on much longer as the character had his erotic adventures. I'm looking forward to writing the next book – I really enjoy writing from the male perspective.

Q: Do you outline or do you start with a basic idea and let it flow? (plotter or pantser)
A: It depends on the piece of work. With short stories I tend to just write and see what happens. But with novels, I need at least a basic outline so I know where I'm going with the story and minimize the mistakes I might make.

Q: Do your family and friends know what you write? If so, what do they think about it?
A: Some of my family do, and some of them don't. My friends do. Basically, I'll tell people if I think they'll be okay with it. And those that know think it's pretty cool!

Q: In erotica/erotic romance, the sex is depicted graphically. Are there any specific words or phrases you aren't comfortable using in your stories? Word or phrase that makes you say “ick”?
A: Not exactly, because the words or phrases that make me say "ick" are ones that I wouldn't even contemplate writing into a story. They're some rather horrible slang phrases which are probably quite British.

Q: What is your favorite part of writing erotica/erotic romance?
A: Just being able to tell the stories that pop into my head. I've always had a vivid imagination, and I like that with erotica and erotic romance you can tell stories and not have to leave the sex out – because in real life, people do have sex! ;)

Q: How long ago was your first story accepted by a publisher and did you pee your pants? J
A: My first print publication was in 2009. I don’t remember how long before then I found out, but I do remember being incredibly excited. I didn't quite pee my pants, but it was pretty close. I still get extremely excited every time a piece of my work is accepted, and it just spurs me on to write more.

Q: What are your favorite and least favorite parts of the publishing process?
A: My favourite is seeing my books get published, and finding out that people are actually reading them. My least favourite part is probably the editing process. Having your faults pointed out is never a pleasant experience – though I know that it has to be done in order to make the book the best it can be, so I grin and bear it.

Fun Stuff

Q: Tattoos. Hot or not? And do you have any?
A: Tattoos are hot if it suits the person. I don't have any, but mainly because I can't decide what I want – whatever I have, I'll be stuck with for life!

Q: Wine, Beer or Liquor?
A: Liquor – vodka, please!

Q: Dogs, cats or other?
A: Dogs

Q: Kindle, Nook, Paper? Other?
A: Kindle and paper – I read each equally

Q: Vibrators, nipple clamps or butt plugs? J
A: Vibrators

Q: Why did the chicken cross the road?
A: Because my mad dog was chasing it.

Q: What is the meaning of life?
A: I don't have deep thoughts like that – they scare me.

Final thoughts: Thanks so much for having me here, Jocelyn. And thanks to everyone that's stopped by to read my interview!
Thanks for being here!

Fun Interview with Dalton Diaz Author of By Mutual Desire

Today... An interview with Dalton Diaz, author of By Mutual Desire.

Reader Advisory: This book contains voyeurism, m/m, group sex and BDSM. Can you say “WOOHOO!”?

About Author and Author's Most Recent Release

Q: Do you have a favorite quote or line from By Mutual Desire? If so, please share.
A: “I’m really starting to hate the word ‘insertion’,” Ryan murmured. “Every time they say it, I don’t get screwed.”
Q: Who is your favorite main character from By Mutual Desire? Why?
A:  I love both Kelly and Ryan, and the way they are with each other. It’s a true love trumps all story.
Q: Who is your favorite secondary character? Why?
A: Jackson. The man has absolutely no inhibitions. He stole the show, and he basically wrote himself. Who could ask for more?
Q: What was the hardest part of writing this book?
A: Finding time. I was under a tight deadline, and real life wouldn’t behave.
Q: What question do you wish that someone would ask about your book?
A: What’s the buy link? <g>
Q: Convince readers to buy your book in 25 words or less.
A: I like to keep a foot in reality. Makes it really interesting to see what happens when “real” people are put into extraordinary situations.

On Writing and Writing Erotica

Q: Why did you choose to write in this genre/subgenre?
A: I did try to write for category romance. When I found myself toning down the sex for submissions to the Blaze line, I finally got wise.
Q: Do you outline or do you start with a basic idea and let it flow? (plotter or pantser)
A: I’m a pure pantser.
Q: Do your family and friends know what you write? If so, what do they think about it?
A: My immediate family and my writing friends know, and they are all extremely supportive.
Q: In erotica/erotic romance, the sex is depicted graphically. Are there any specific words or phrases you aren't comfortable using in your stories? Word or phrase that makes you say “ick”?
A: I’m not a fan of the big C for women. Oh, and “throbbing tumescence” will have me ROFLMAO.
Q: What is your favorite part of writing erotica/erotic romance?
A: The sensual nature of it. Being able to let loose and let imagination flow, letting the characters go where they desire without having to worry about censure.
Q: How long ago was your first story accepted by a publisher and did you pee your pants? J
A: The first one was Love Cuffs (with Ashlyn Chase), which came out in 2008. I didn’t pee my pants, but I did scream without even realizing it! I remember it being a Saturday morning, and logging on to check my email as usual. The next thing I knew, everyone came running out of their rooms to find out what was going on. Oops. <g>
Q: What are your favorite and least favorite parts of the publishing process?
A: Writing the book, when everything gels into place, is the best feeling of all. As long as I still have that great feeling while writing, I’ll keep plugging away. This is a tough business, with a lot of rejection along the way no matter how far along you are in the process.

Fun Stuff

Q: Tattoos. Hot or not? And do you have any?
A: Depends on what and where. None for me personally, but I have given them to characters. Jackson in By Mutual Desire has quite a few, and Kevin in Winters’ Thaw has one that is integral to his story.
Q: Wine, Beer or Liquor?
A: Coffee. Copious amounts of coffee.
Q: Dogs, cats or other?
A: Guinea Pigs
Q: Kindle, Nook, Paper? Other?
A: Any and all!
Q: Vibrators, nipple clamps or butt plugs? J
A: Penis
Q: Why did the chicken cross the road?
A: The rooster on the other side was hot. And so were his friends.
Q: What is the meaning of life?
A: Love and laughter. Also a magazine, cereal, and board game.

Final thoughts: Thanks for having me!
My pleasure!
