Title: Something Darker
Author: Stella and Audra Price
ASIN: B00AOT77GW
Length: 352 pages

The one thing Syrus Alcot, the God of Death Osiris in the Egyptian Pantheon, wants in all the worlds is the woman he loved and lost returned to him. When he gave up his powers, and freedom for a life of service he was promised her return. That was over one thousand years ago. A member of a team of dark gods charged with keeping humanity safe, he leads a loveless existence in New York City, searching for the one thing that could bring his wife back to him, a lapis scarab that was lost to him ages before.

Gwen Stapleton, a mild mannered librarian, is unaware that she holds the key to not only Syrus’ happiness, but her own. Seemingly stuck in a hopeless relationship with a man she doesn’t love, she has no idea that a chance meeting in Alphabet City will start a
landslide to her heart’s content. Because Gwen is the keeper of the scarab, and is everything Syrus has ever wanted… and hes not the only one.

An Ancient evil is waking, and its servants will stop at nothing to see it seize its rightful place as the new pantheon of earth. And in order for Syrus and his team to save the world, Gwen is going to have to accept him, and show that love does make all the difference.

About Author and Author's Most Recent Release

Q: Do you have a favorite quote or line from Something Darker? If so, please share.
A:  Lord theres so many good ones. I like to hear from readers what is the best in their eyes.
Q: Who is your favorite main character from Something Darker? Why?
A: Oddly, we (meaning Audra and I) Like Nathan best, who is the bad guy.
Q: Who is your favorite secondary character? Why?
A:  Kaid. He’s the celibate one of the group and the most onery. He hates everyone…
Q: What was the hardest part of writing Something Darker?
A: getting Gwen right. She had to be just enough of a broken woman that you could identify with her, but not too far gone that she couldn’t change and be who she was meant to be.
Q: What question do you wish that someone would ask about your book?

A: That’s always a tough one… I have no idea about this one.
Q: Convince readers to buy your book in 25 words or less.
A:  6 underworld gods looking for the women to temper them through objects of power. It’s  like a cross between LOTU and IAD.

On Writing and Writing Erotica

Q: Why did you choose to write in this genre/subgenre?
A:  because Im an adult and I felt that because I could FINALLY read it without getting admonished, I would write it as well.
Q: Do you outline or do you start with a basic idea and let it flow? (plotter or pantser)
A:  We have a very vague idea of what the story needs to be to further the books we are writing in a series, but we rarely plot every scene unless it’s a short story.
Q: Do your family and friends know what you write? If so, what do they think about it?
A: Yep. Well they know, but they aren’t really supportive.
Q: In erotica/erotic romance, the sex is depicted graphically. Are there any specific words or phrases you aren't comfortable using in your stories? Word or phrase that makes you say “ick”?
A: MOIST. Omg that’s the worst word EVA!
Q: What is your favorite part of writing erotica/erotic romance?
A: the relationships. So many times they seem so cookie cutter, so it’s nice to take them off the beaten path
Q: How long ago was your first story accepted by a publisher and did you pee your pants?
A:  9 years ago, and nope, Audra and I were happy but it was a weird kinda happy. Contract was offered with conditions that we know now are wrong and shouldn’t have happened… I guess we kinda knew then as well.
Q: What are your favorite and least favorite parts of the publishing process?
A: I love editing. I love having someone there to make the book better. Sadly for the past 9 years we have only recently had an editor that does that.  Least favorite is the cover process.. so many times people don’t understand what we are going  for. Its why I like doing my own.

Fun Stuff

Q: Tattoos. Hot or not? And do you have any?
A:  I have 7. So hot. On a guy… totally hot. All my characters have them in some way.
Q: Wine, Beer or Liquor?
A:  Wine…
Q: Dogs, cats or other?
A: Dogs! Though Audra and I are both partial to snakes.
Q: Kindle, Nook, Paper? Other?
A: PAPER!!!!!
Q: Vibrators, nipple clamps or butt plugs?
A: Um…. None? I’m not a toy girl.
Q: Why did the chicken cross the road?
A: clearly sometime on the other side caught his attention…
Q: What is the meaning of life?
A: ---
